November Vans Releases

New Vans just landed at the shop, and this batch is a good one. We've got five fresh pairs from Vans Skate, but the real headliners are the two from the CORDURA® collection: the Authentic High and the Half Cab WaffleCup. If you're tired of blowing out your shoes in a couple weeks, keep reading.
The CORDURA® Collection
Quick rundown on CORDURA: it's a seriously tough fabric that holds up to grip tape, scuffs, and rips way better than regular canvas. Vans mixed it with suede on these two, so you get the soft feel of suede where you want it and some extra armor where grip tape usually chews through. Same classic shapes, way more mileage.
Vans Skate Authentic High CORDURA – Autumn Brown ($69.95)

This is Vans' very first shoe, the Authentic, taken up to a high-top. The cool part is there's no bulky padding. It's stripped down and unpadded, so it stays light and flexible and you can actually feel your board, which isn't something you usually get from a high-top. The suede and CORDURA upper in Autumn Brown looks great, and underneath you've got the full Vans Skate setup: vulc sole, SickStick™ rubber, PopCush™ footbed, and DuraCap™ under the high-wear spots. It even comes with a spare set of laces. Sizes 9–12.

Vans Skate Half Cab WaffleCup CORDURA – Autumn ($105)

Cab's legendary mid-top, built to take a beating. The upper mixes suede, CORDURA, and mesh, so it's tough where it counts and still breathes. The real story is the WaffleCup sole: you get the flick and board feel of a vulc with the support of a cupsole. It feels great for flatground and still has your back when you're jumping down stuff. It's loaded up with PopCush, DuraCap, SickStick, a molded heel counter, bar-tack stitching where shoes usually rip first, and even a hidden stash pocket in the tongue. Sizes 8–12.

The Rest of the Drop
Vans Skate AVE Classic – Blackout ($85)

Anthony Van Engelen's pro shoe takes the best bits of the Era, Old Skool, and Slip-On and leaves out the fluff. It's slim, low-profile, and vulc, so it flicks great from day one. The all-black nubuck goes with everything and hides scuffs like a champ. Sizes 8–13.
Vans Skate Half Cab – Mossy Olive ($89.95)

The classic Half Cab in an earthy Mossy Olive suede. It's the shoe skaters have been wearing out since the '90s, now with PopCush, DuraCap, SickStick, and internal tongue straps so your tongue stays put. Sizes 8–12.

Vans Skate Era – Oil Green ($69.95)

The OG skate shoe. The Era was built back in the '70s because skaters needed something tougher and grippier, and this Skate version keeps that canvas-and-suede look while loading it up with modern tech. A padded collar, vulc sole, and all the Skate upgrades. Sizes 8–12.
