AVE Knit VCU is the next evolution of Anthony's signature shoe. Anthony's desire to continue exploring processes and materials has led to a new evolution of the AVE for Vans Checkerboard Union.

The same familiar Rapidweld suede toe, Duracap, eyestay, sidestripe and reinforcements keep the silhouette in AVE's lineage while the knit enhances the performance with a more substantial base to build from. The non-stretch knit base material is engineered with open knit structures providing breathability in the forefoot, tongue and medial quarter, and tighter knit structures keeping the shoe durable on the lateral quarter and collar where the most wear and abrasion takes place. This knit evolution in the AVE Knit VCU creates a sturdier, durable upper built on top Anthony's UltimateWaffle outsole, an equally strong and durable combination of grip and cushioning.
