About the Cab Street Artwork:
In 1987, street skating achieved soaring levels of notoriety. Steve Caballero, an acclaimed vert skater, was also revered in the burgeoning "Street-Style" scene. Accordingly, Powell-Peralta unveiled a new Cab-centric deck, designed with street skating in mind. V.C. Johnson produced the accompanying artwork, featuring a dragon atop a bats & bones backdrop. Incorporating Cab's affinity for Batman, Cab's name was stylized in the bat shape. The Powell-Peralta logo was cast in "Animal Chin font," a nod to the era..
